Polished draft (Flash Fiction)

Our mission was simple, assassinate Kyad Fud with one sniper bullet. And walk home like it never happened.

"Pull the trigger." Sam insisted.
"I cant, the wind is too high." I said.
"Its now or never John!" Sam said angrily. My cross hairs were bouncing and I had little change of take down.
"PULL THE TRIGGER!" Sam yelled.
I pulled the trigger.
In that moment, I was teleported to a flashback. " Gentlemen  this is a simple covert operation. I want this to quick and clean. No mess ups. I choose you two men because you are the best men I have. Were not supposed to be in Afghanistan, and that's exactly why you cant make any mistakes. Literally  no mistakes or this county will  face a total sh*t storm. Understood?
The bullet left the barrel of the sniper rifle, I saw the bullet in slow motion. The bullet grazed Kyad Fud's ear.
All of the listeners covered their heads and scrambled. Kyad Fud's bodyguards already taken him to safety.
"Sh*t" Sam said quietly.
The afghans had started to shoot mortars on the hill we were laying on. We collected our stuff and headed down the hill because their was no other way. We had to kill Kyad Fud. Mortars and bullets flew left and right of us. I don't know how but somehow me and Sam split up. I was sprinting along side of a small ally way. And all of a sudden, and shelled mortar thumped the ground to the left of me and it sent me flying through the sandy drywall of a hut. My back hit the other side of the drywall and I flew through that too. I was dazed and needed to get on my feet. And stun grenade flew in front of my face and landed in the sun heated sand. It blew up and I was def and blind.

Bullets flew in this sand tanned Afghan village. Mortars shot up destroying poorly made huts all around me. My vision returned to me and I managed to get to my feet. I grabbed my gun and ran up some stairs of a two story apartment. I put my finger on my nose and blew out. Sand flew out and my nose was now unclogged. As I made my was into the second room a man with a bandage wrapped around his head swung his gun like a baseball bat and hit me in the head.
