Traveling the world

We walked down the terminal in the airport. Every sign we passed the more clueless we got. A women's voice on the intercom babbled on in Japanese. It was the busiest airport I've ever seen. The only way we managed to get to Baggage Claim, was to look at the little tiny pictures next to the big Japanese writing. We got the baggage claim and shuffled through tourists to get our luggage. We all met up outside the crowd with our bags in hand and flagged down a taxi cab. The taxi-man grabbed our suitcases and jammed them into the trunk. We then set off to Tokyo. One thing I really remember well  was the lights. A lot of people would say the city is dirty and grungy but if you just look up it becomes the most clean city. The neon blue and green lights streaking across buildings and the fluorescent pink and red lights flashing. Its was like taking a bath in light. You lose yourself really. All three of us didn't have much to say after the long thirteen and a half hour flight. We were surprisingly quiet. The taxi arrived at the hotel and I don't remember much that night. I guess I was really tired.
That Japanese bed I woke up on had a very different smell. It wasn't a dirty smell, just different. Like they used a different kind of detergent here.

"Wake up bro" said Wesley as I rose up out of my sheets. Wesley was standing in the so called kitchen that only had one counter. It looked like he was searching for some kind of coffee.
"If you find any coffee, could you make me a cup?" I said as I got a towel for a shower.
"Yeah, I don't think we are gonna have coffee. The only thing in this tiny cabinet is a bowl of tea packs." He said with a sad tone.
         "Wheres Kathen?" I asked.
"He went down to the lobby to get some tourist brochures for things to do around here." Wesley said closing the little cabinet.
We all took a shower and all got dressed. We looked at the brochures to find some fun activities we could do. There was walking own the cultural streets of japan to try new food, see Japanese dancers, learn how to make sushi, travel around on a horse, going o a hike etc. We decided to head down to the streets of downtown and see everything we could.
